Canton

Low-key Neighborhood with its Own Social Scene
East of Fell’s Point on Baltimore’s outer harbor is Canton. A quaint village square rimmed with restaurants, pubs and shops along O’Donnell Street is the heart of this neighborhood. If you're looking for a low-key area that is still close to the traditionally popular places, Canton is the perfect spot.

Canton — 8.8/10 Rating (based on 5 neighborhood reviews)
Like all of Baltimore, Canton residents love to drink. You'll find a number of bars in the area and some pretty great eats, too. Canton Square is a great place to start if you're new to the neighborhood. Can't really go too terribly wrong with any of the options there.

Canton also has a reasonable amount of green space for city living. It's located between Patterson Park to the north and the Korean War Memorial Park to the south.

Generally speaking, Canton is about as safe as Baltimore gets but you should still be wary. Crimes do happen and if you're a member of the Canton Neighbors facebook group you hear all about it.

Canton is a great location - convenient to both Fells and Inner Harbor as well as to I-95 that lets you get out of the city quickly. Really enjoy living here!

We love the neighborhood. It is so convenient that Harris Teeter and Target are right across the street. Along with many dining options. The Swuare is also only a few blocks away.

There are lots of things to do in Canton, which makes it a popular spot for young professionals and recent college graduates. As long as you're OK in this crowd, then Canton can be a really fun place to live and play. Otherwise, I'd suggest a calmer neighborhood, like Mt. Vernon or Locust Point.
