Weyburn Terrace reviews and highlights

Weyburn
Unless you live in a studio, living in Weyburn is absolutely not worth it. The accommodations are incredibly average, not clean, and overall not worth the high price. Additionally, the parking is very expensive and not secure-- my boyfriend's car was stolen from the parking lot. The parking also precludes residents from purchasing parking in other campus parking lots even though most of the graduate schools are over a mile away.

Nice on the outside, old and grungy on the inside
It’s an old building. You’re getting a pretty good deal for your moneys worth—1500 for a private bed and private bath with utilities included is not bad. Plus, though the bedrooms are tight you have a relatively spacious common area. The complex itself is pretty, but the insides of the buildings are pretty dingy. The apartments themselves are not dirty, but they’re not super modern or updated. There’s a lot of potential to make it your own.

Review
It's on-campus housing so it's a bit dorm-like but the townhouses are decent and close to campus.

Weyburn single grad student housing
Single grad student housing has a great location and a great price for what you get. Paying for a parking permit is irritating, but gives you the option to not have to deal with Westwood street parking, which is quite difficult. The apartments are not super roomy, but have enough space for 2 people (just don't bring more stuff than you need).

Value for money
Graduate student housing at Weyburn Terrace is close to campus, easy to access, and in a good neighborhood. It is good value for money for an international student.

Great location, has everything except gym
Pros- Great location in Westwood, you can walk to many restaurants and grocery stores. Rent covers everything
Cons- Bad phone reception in the apartment. It's dark inside the apartment, not very lively. It's furnished by furnitures are kinda old (eg. Fridge). Not really soundproofing so you can easily disturb roommate. AC and internet sometimes don't function well.

review
Love that I got a balcony- wish this was an option as I feel bad for those who do not have a balcony. The Mail system here is insecure. The non-central staircase and multi-level access is difficult to navigate as a person with mobility issues/disability. Thankful for furnishings. Everything in decent condition. Quiet and pleasant complex.

Everything Great Except Parking
Weyburn Terrace is great for students who are new to LA and don’t have a built in community to consult for roommates or housing recommendations. My only complaint is parking. It took them 4 weeks to process my request for a spot, and they had no recommendations of where to park or knowledge of overnight garages in the neighborhood. I spent over $500 extra on daily parking during the first month that I lived here.
