Great apartment in Rittenhouse Square
I love my apartment in the Savoy, although I know I am paying more for location than for space. I enjoy crossing the park in the mornings on my walk to Huntsman and being right there for the farmer's market on the weekend. I've never had any issues with my apartment, so have barely had communication with management, although they are very active and get the building involved with community events and announcements. The doormen are great, very friendly and check-in when appropriate. As it is a condo building, you will have to make sure you check before signing. Mine was renovated, and utilities are pretty much all included, so it made it a no-brainer.

Quiet with a beautiful view
Our apartment at the Savoy is recently renovated and has more than enough room for a couple. It has an incredible view of Rittenhouse Square and everything that goes with the central location, but it is a quieter building. We underestimated how much we would appreciate that. There are at least 4 grad student apartments on our floor, but the rest are older folks. The gym is also decent and almost always empty. Also, the building unfortunately does not allow dogs. Bottom line, if you are looking for space and a view at a fair price and you like having a quiet place to go back to, this is the perfect building. If you are looking for an undergrad dorm or a lively party scene in your building, there are much better places to live.

Good Balance
Savoy is right in the heart of Rittenhouse Sq which makes it incredibly convenient to share ubers with classmates to campus. The building does not have as many Wharton students, which can be nice for a little break. The apartments vary a lot so you definitely need to look at them in person.

Great location, safe building, standard amenities
I enjoy living at the Savoy. My apartment is spacious and I got a pretty good deal on rent. I think experiences vary because it is a condo building so apartment prices and amenities differ depending on owners' investments.
The location is great (a $5.25 uber ride to school; close to everything CC has to offer; awesome views on rooftop), but the building amenities are definitely not as great as some of the surrounding buildings (no pool, study room, etc.).
Mgmt is hardly involved on the day-to-day, but the building staff is great. Repair requests are usually completed day-of and I feel safe/secure here.
This building has an increasing number of Wharton students but is not the most social building by any means.
The gym is okay but usage fees are not included in rent (and I would not pay $30 for this gym considering the other, cheaper options that are nearby).

Awesome apartment at an amazing price
If you don't care much about building amenities like a gym or conference room, you can find an amazing deal here. (There is a gym in the building but not included in rent.) Huge light filled 2br apartment with hardwood floors for under $2400 including utilities and cable. It's a condo building so definitely check out the specific unit before renting as there is some variation. Responsive management, building app you can use to communicate with doormen and maintenance and track packages. Good view from the roof deck. A decent number of Wharton students in the building but also very close to everyone in the Dorchester, Parc and Claridge so can always find people to share rides or walk home with if your'e a Wharton student. Love living right next to the park. Not much street noise.

The Savoy suits our needs
While the Rittenhouse Savoy may not be the most desirable building of Wharton students wanting to live on the Square, it certainly offers a few perks that may win over some hearts. Rent generally seems to be reasonable with all utilities included - bonus! Most units are quite spacious, and some, like ours, have been recently renovated by the unit owner. You won't find a barre studio or a rooftop grill station here, but the gym facilities are adequate and we hear the roof deck is lovely. The Savoy is not a Wharton party building as the building is a mix of older residents, younger professionals, and graduate/professional degree students. One can see living here as a refreshing escape or a source of intense FOMO. We've often enjoyed it being the former.

Happy with the Savoy
Older building right on the Square. While there are still a lot of students in the Savoy, it's a quieter building and certainly not a "party building." It's a nice adult place to live if you want a good location at a well managed building.

Older building, but amazing location
The Rittenhouse Savoy is literally right on Rittenhouse Square. My unit has an amazing view overlooking the park. The units themselves are okay -- it's a condo building so the interiors vary from one owner to the next. My main complaint is that the building is pretty old and for the price that I'm paying, it's not really on par with apartments like 2116 Chestnut and The Icon.

Great location, recent upgrades
The Savoy is not only in a great location but the building, compared to other high rise apartments with a decent student population is quiet. I spent some time here when I was in graduate school, residents are very nice, gym is also pretty solid but is an extra $25 per month. Front desk has had a recent turnover and the staff is a lot nicer than those who have left. Recent upgrades include the elevators and more importantly the central air. South side of the building gets hit with a little more of the heat/sun so during the in-between periods of shutting the AC off it may feel warm but otherwise, no complaints.

Rittenhouse Square Reviews
Spruce Street in particular is great - it's a little south of the square, so is quieter/shielded from a lot of the traffic that the neighborhood gets, but it's not out of the way or far away. There's a Starbucks, a grocery store (Rittenhouse Market), and a few corner stores (Four Seasons and Food & Friends) within a 2-3 minute walk of my apartment.
