Gaslamp Quarter

The Gaslamp Quarter is one of the most iconic San Diego neighborhoods and known for its bustling nightlife. Just steps from Petco Park and the Convention Center, the downtown Gaslamp Quarter is sprawling with restaurants, bars, and live-music venues. There's always something to do in this area - eat, drink, and laugh amongst the various restaurants, cocktail bars, and comedy clubs.

Not only does the Gaslamp Quarter offer tons of entertainment options, but it is also listed as a historic district. As part of the preservation of this area, many Victorian Era buildings line the streets - most of which have been turned into shops, hotels, or restaurants. Despite being known for bringing in a lively nightlife crowd, the area is great (and calmer!) to visit during the day to learn more about its history.
