Japantown
Historic Town
Japantown originated from the site where Japanese immigrants first settled in. Now, it is still one of three historical Japantowns in the United States. It is a popular spot that offers wide boutiques, shops, art galleries, and museums. The Japanese American Museum of San Jose displays a collection of rotating and permanent exhibits. Here you can learn about the Japanese American history like, the immigration of Japanese to America, their leadership in the agricultural community, and their hardships in World War II.
