Mayfair

Mayfair holds its history with the labor leader and civil rights activist, Cesar Chavez. One block from his house Chavez organized at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, a National Historic Landmark. Visit these sites by walking down the Cesar Chavez Memorial Walkway, which brings out seven locations within the five-mile route from the Plaza de Cesar Chaves downtown to the East Side’s Mexican Heritage Plaza. At the Mexican Heritage Plaza, they host several annual events including Calpulli Tonalehgueh and the Sunrise Ceremony held in November.
