Midtown Gainesville

Located just north of the University of Florida campus is Midtown, a student hot-spot running along University Ave. known to some as the heart of Gainesville. Apartments in the Midtown neighborhood put residents walking or biking distance to their classes, restaurants, shopping, and bars, giving little reason to leave. A mix of historic homes and apartments, new renovations, and new construction provides a variety of housing options to choose from.

You can expect every weekend to be a bustling scene, with the area attracting much of the student nightlife. During the Fall, catch a UF Football game at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium, located just a short walk from the Midtown neighborhood. This area is also the place to be for a pre-game tailgate or you can visit The Social at Midtown to watch the game from their rooftop bar with both views and sounds of the stadium.

Midtown’s biggest attraction is its proximity to the University of Florida and abundance of student apartments, restaurants, and bars. Common methods of transportation in the area are walking, biking, or mopeds/scooters, all are campus-friendly options for students on the go.
