Far North Dallas
Suburban Life with a City Vibe
Far North Dallas offers a change of pace from proper city living by having suburban homes and atmosphere, situated north of the LBJ Freeway. It is made up of the Bent Tree, Glen Abbey, Northwood Hills, Preston Highlands, Preston Trail, and Prestonwood neighborhoods. A few decades back, this neighborhood was a rural community nestled on the edge of Dallas's development. Today it is considered a city crossroad with a variety of retail and restaurant options surrounding the community. There are great outdoor recreational grounds the residents like to visit, which include Preston Trail; a highly-rated golf course, Vitruvian Park, Cottonwood Park Pavilion, and the Valley House Gallery, an enchanting six-acre fine-art gallery and sculpture garden. These parks and golf courses offer residents of Far North Dallas a perfect social hub to relax and rewind.
The restaurant and bar scene is thriving in the area. Restaurants include Ida Claire's and Kenny’s Wood Fired Grill. Night spots include Quinlan's Bar and Grill and Pete's Dueling Piano Bar. Northern Dallas is a great place to live for those who want to enjoy a suburban lifestyle without sacrificing the energetic Dallas city vibe.
