Eastover

Eastover is considered by many to be one of the most historic neighborhoods in Charlotte. It boasts parks, boutiques, and eateries all within walking distance of some of Charlotte’s most magnificent mansions. Historically, this area was home to the early entrepreneurs who drove Charlotte’s growth, including Hugh McColl Jr., John Belk, and the E.C. Griffith family, who were responsible for developing most of the neighborhood. A fun fact - this is the area’s first suburb that had its homes built with driveways for motorcars. Today, Eastover is a welcoming neighborhood with plenty to enjoy. The Mint Museum Randolph showcases art, live performances, and educational programs. For sports enthusiasts, right outside of town is Randolph Road Park, a 30-acre park with recreational fields for tennis, soccer, baseball, and batting cages. For shopping aficionados, Eastover is home to Colony Furniture, Windsor Hall and Windwood Antiques, Circa Interiors, Paul Simon Clothing, and Morrison-Smith and Karat Patch Jewelers.

There are also plenty of restaurants and bars in the area. Restaurants include Stagioni, Providence Road Sundries, Napa On Providence, and Zio Casual Italian. Bars in the area include Foxcroft Wine Co. Dilworth, Smokey Joe's Cafe, Bulldog Beer and Wine, and Lucky’s Bar and Cafe.
