Brookline
Ranked Best Suburb
In 2015, Brookline was ranked America’s best suburb. It is perfect for people looking for that perfect hybrid of suburban and urban lifestyle, as it is very close to the city’s attractions. Getting into Boston is easy and convenient for Brookline residents. Despite being close to the city, Brookline keeps its small town charm. The hottest spots in town revolve around the popular eateries and shopping centers - Coolidge Corner, Washington Square, and Brookline Village. Larz Anderson Park is also a favorite with the locals. Here, the park offers plenty of walking pathways, gardens, and even a skating rink.
The bars and restaurants offer wonderful options. Restaurants include La Morra, El Centro, The Haven, Clover Food Lab, and Pon Thai Bistro. Bars to have a drink at include Blossom Bar at Sichuan Garden, Bill's Bar & Lounge, Bukowski Tavern, and Bleacher Bar. Brookline is a much sought after place to call home - being voted one of the best places to live in the country speaks for itself, and the residents are inclined to agree.

So much good food and grocery options. Lot of cute trendy cafes as well. Very accessible and inclusive community. The area is clean and becomes nice and quiet at night. Lots of activities to do a short walk or a quick train ride away. Also the C like is not as busy as the B line with the BU students.
This area is very family friendly and pet friendly. Lots of schools kids so halloween is super cute! Keep reading

Many students and families live here, so the community is nice. There is a lot of street lighting and shops lining the Harvard St/Brookline area, so it’s a little more safe walking around at night. There’s also a nearby farmers market that has a bunch of great produce stands and other cool stands.

Lots of families - so cute! Great coffee shops and restaurants. There are lots of new restaurants coming into the area. Also, it's close to the Brookline Public Library and BC reservoir, so great study/running spots.

It is steps to the B line which can take you downtown quickly. Plenty of bus routes to go other directions. The neighborhood has some older buildings that are not kept up nice but plenty to do and eat around here. It is walking distance to Coolidge Corner which is a very nice neighborhood.
