Collegetown —
8.4/10 Rating
(based on 34 neighborhood reviews)
In the heart of the Cornell student community. Close to the law school, engineering quad, and the business school, has several bars, restaurants, coffee shops. No nearby grocery stores but 7-11 has everything you need, if you are willing to pay a little more for it. It's more expensive, but everyone is around and it is a social place. Has enough students at most times of the day and night that it is safe.

It's nice. It's a young neighborhood close to campus, restaurants, and Greenstar for groceries. There are parties occasionally, but they tend to get shut down on the early side.

Collegetown has lots of different food spots that are worth trying out at least once. There are a few bars within 5-10 min walking distance on the lower side. That being said, on weekends the area is rowdier because 7/11 usually gets packed. But the walls are well insulated as to eliminate most road noise.

It is a nice, scenic route to class. However, it can be loud on the weekends, and there's often a lot of construction. The sidewalks get dirty, especially in the winter. There is a Starbucks en route, which can be a good study spot. The food isn't the best, and a lot of it is overpriced.

The neighborhood is great walking distance from school and also is close to many food options. It could use a few more bars.

Very close walk to campus, restaurants and bars in walking distance. Ubers and busses are easy to catch. The biggest downside would be noise on the weekends and lack of affordable parking if you own a car.

Very convenient neighborhood. Location is very close to South campus (e.g. Engineering Quad, McGraw tower). There are bus stops located nearby, to get you to further parts of campus.
The grocery stores, restaurants, and other stores nearby make the location pretty convenient. Keep reading

Collegetown is extremely rowdy on weekend nights, and the area is very loud on weekends. Nonetheless, the complex blocks out nearly all street noise so I have no problems with this.
