Westside

Westside Atlanta is not officially defined by the city but residents consider it as the neighborhood in the western part of Midtown. It maintains the same “Midtown” culture while also having its own distinctive lifestyle - the area overflows with musicians and energy, creating a lively atmosphere with plenty of shopping and dining options. It includes the historic community of West End – which was founded in the 1830s when railway construction was at its peak. This area boasts charming fully-restored period homes and Victorian cottages. Westside also includes the Atlanta University Center - Morehouse College, Spelman College, Clark Atlanta University and Morehouse School of Medicine - a key part of Atlanta's heritage and culture.

Westside is filled with some of the best restaurants in the city. For a great steak, Marcel’s is the place to go. For seafood lovers there is The Optimist, and for classic Italian cuisine, people love Donetto. For a bit of nightlife, there are busy bars and cafes, including the Steamhouse Lounge, Sweet Hut Bakery & Cafe, and a local Starbucks.
