Mount Pleasant
Suburban Within the City
Within the city of Charleston is a laid-back suburban town called Mount Pleasant. It is a huge residential area and is known to be the fastest growing area in the entirety of South Carolina. The most popular destination in town is Patriots Point, a retired Naval aircraft carrier, submarine, and destroyer now open to the public. It is open on the dock all year-round for anyone who wants to check it out. Mount Pleasant is perfect for anyone who wants to live in a suburban atmosphere that is right by the city-life of Charleston.
The residents of Mount Pleasant recommend the south side of town for the best restaurants. These include The Shellmore, Five Loaves Cafe, Grace & Grit, The Pickled Palate, and Bacco. Bars are more all over town, and are great for drinks with friends. Bars in the area include Charleston Sports Pub Mount Pleasant, House of Brews, and O'Brion's Pub & Grille. Mount Pleasant is perfect for anyone who wants to live in a suburban residential area while also having the city-life only a short drive away.

Mount Pleasant —
8.8/10 Rating
(based on 14 neighborhood reviews)
The neighborhood around our complex is very nice. It's close to many grocery stores (including Trader Joes!) that makes grocery shopping simple and quick, and close to plenty of places to grab a bite to eat. At approximately a mile away from the Ravenel Bridge, both Mt. Pleasant's water front park and Patriots Point are extremely accessible, hosting bike paths, walking trails, green spaces and a fishing pier.
