Parkside East Review
Parkside East
Great building!
Clean, safe, close to everything that you can ever need
Southampton
The apartment is really new and the view is gorgeous. However, it has no gym in this apartment.
Waterfront apartment
The experience has been great. The building is smoke-free, well-maintained and secure. The views are breathtaking. Walking distance to path, grocery store and mall. Very convenient location and walk- friendly
Nice residential area with view of Manhattan
Although my school is in Manhattan I prefer to live outside Manhattan because it's too crowded.
This Newport area is so quiet and clean I find this an ideal place to live.
Also, you can get a view of Manhattan!
Good quality to price ratio
The apartment is big (800 sq ft) given the price. 10 minutes walk to PATH station (10 minute PATH ride from Newport to 9th street and 35 minutes door-to-door commute to Stern), 5 minutes walk to Newport Mall, many restaurants and stores within walking distance. There is a small gym in the building which is included in the rent. Parking spot also available for $130 / month. Pets are allowed in the building. The building handyman is awesome and response to maintenance requests promptly.
Well managed building with good price, good amenity and convenient location.
Studio Review
Great location and pricing especially if considering a studio/living alone. Very short commute to city, in fact more reliable than subway within NYC. Very close to Jersey City downtown and Hoboken; right mix of city and clean quieter neighborhood.
Experience
Great experience and spacious apartment and kitchen
Great experience
I love the building and the apartment. It's spacious, while also being just about a 20 minute train ride away to campus (Washington Square Park). The amenities are great and there are lots of facilities available close by (supermarkets, grocery stores, mall, cinemas, PATH station, etc)
It's not bad
Living in Newport is great because you get significantly more bang for your buck, as opposed to living in NYC. It is quiet and super safe, but there isn't much nightlife. However, Grove street and Hoboken are both 1 stop away, and i have a 30 second walk to the path, so that's pretty great. Rent goes up every year with no breaks, and there aren't any real amenities (no gym, free parking, etc), however there are 24 hour door people.
30 Newport Parkway
It is conveniently located close to Newport Path station. I have had a comfortable living. The management is responsive and the neighborhood is very peaceful with great view of Manhattan's skyline. As someone who likes to run, i find ample opportunities at the well developed water front of Newport. The only little issue is around the fact that kitchen does not have proper exhaust. However, it should not be a problem if you frequently order outside.
