Maplewood Apartments Review
Good Apartment

Couple

Popular spot for students
Best rates for a room in Ithaca, much cheaper than CTT and other apartments downtown. Gym is small, and bedrooms are small, but common space and kitchen is a good size and fairly modern.

Quality living at Maplewood
I think Maplewood hits most if not all of the boxes for living considerations in Ithaca: pricing, quality, community, location, safety and facilities. I love it! If you can secure a place at Maplewood (or put yourself on the transfer list or waitlist) then consider yourself very lucky. Cornell should look into having more university-run off-campus accommodation like Maplewood.

Maplewood 2x2
Easy walk to campus, furnished apartment with all utilities included. Overall I’d recommend Maplewood as the best bang for your buck. The gym is small, but works, and the in unit washer/dryer is super nice.

You will have such a difficulty to get your security deposit back
Please DO double think about it when you wanna move into Maplewood, as it is managed by Greaystar. This means you may have such a difficulty in getting your deposit back.
My lease ended 7/31/23 and it is now 12/5/23 and I have still not received my security deposit, neither a statement. By NY law you must return the security deposit within 14 days. I have contacted the staff at maplewood several times, what they can do is just tell me to contact Greystar, yet it is nearly impossible to get a person answer my call and email. I have never ever had missing checks before. Will never be renting with Greystar again. Disgusting!

Maintainance and Management at Maplewood
Maintainance and Management (leasing office) at Maplewood works very slowly, not organised at all.

Maplewood 2 bed apartment
Only complaint is the couch is super uncomfortable. Otherwise it’s a great place to live - walking distance to campus, utilities included (including laundry), furnished, and with a nice gym. Staff is helpful and responsive.

Best deal in Ithaca
having a three-story town house with all utilities included and modern features (stainless appliances, hardwood floors) is an amazing deal for roughly $1000/month per person
