Not as nice as it looks

The apartment building looks really nice but the place smells like trash if you get anywhere near the garbage shoots, the residents are loud and obnoxious and trash the place on the weekends and there are police called frequently for disorderly conduct. The doorman are a bright spot and really go above and beyond. The management office has constant turnover so they aren't much help. There is very little storage in the apartment and they charge for parking in a structure they say they don't own but if you go to every Skyhouse in the country they all have the same parking garage. Also, every year they will try to increase your rent up to $200/month. The pool is great...

Skyhouse Overview

Great views, convenient location, nice, updated, small, expensive, pool on the top of the building with a view overlooking atlanta, decent sized gym, parking is very limited (guests have to pay for parking), management is nice, pricey, guard sitting at the desk 24/7

Skyhouse Midtown

A great highrise to live in for Midtown Atlanta. Wonderful 23rd floor with pool and gym. Loved the floor to ceiling windows. Carpeted bedrooms and hardwood living rooms. Great apartment, great location. Parking and rent were kind of expensive, but I think they are competitive for Midtown.
Building was built in 2012 and it seemed brand new. Great appliances and interior condition.

Love living here, management is great and very helpful and attentive. Never have an issue when something needs to be fixed, like a clogged toilet. Neighbors are quiet but friendly. Convenient highway access. No complaints about living here and highly recommend it!

Huge fan of the pool

Really love the pool on the roof, as well as the club lounge on the top floor. Gym is very convenient and taken care of. The floor to ceiling windows give amazing views. The elevators are generally a little bit slow, and you can't use the stairs to get to any other floor. All of the appliances are nice, and maintenance is very quick when needed.

Location!!!

This is an unbeatable location with a young population all around. In the summer months, you can take advantage of the excellent penthouse floor for special events, or just to soak up the sun. It can be pricey but if location in the heart of midtown is your priority, its a great choice.

Good value for the money

I moved into Skyhouse several months ago and I have really enjoyed it for the most part. No it's not perfect but what apartment is these days. The apartments are super nice and the other people who live here are okay as well. There are some things that were annoying when I first moved here: issues with the elevator, which has since been rectified. The location is convenient and for me close to work and school, oh and there's a concierge. I would recommend it to someone to live here.

Awesome place to live

Brand new building located right in Midtown. The community amenities are really great. My friends who visit marvel at the views from our rooftop, and my apartment has floor to ceiling windows with a great view of downtown Atlanta. Lastly, the building feels very safe. Our 24-hour front desk makes sure that any guests check in, which is great for security.

Midtown Reviews

Very walkable and you have everything within arm's reach.

Nighttime is very dependent on where you live, but there can be a lot of noise from street racing and other safety issues.

That being said, northern midtown is a great area and allows an easy commute to campus.
A lot of places to go, a lot of restaurants and supermarket walking distance.
The complex is less than several blocks shy of many of Atlanta's top-rated cafes and restaurants. Its also close the the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta, so that's very cool. Grocery store is nearby as well. It's a bit of a stretch to walk to the College of Business and further into GA Tech campus (7 blocks or more) but because of the distance not a lot of loud college students come here, so the building is always quiet. That's not to say there's no social scene here, the area surrounding plus the complex's activity room provide fun meet-up spots.
I love living in midtown - I can easily access great restaurants, my job, and my friends. Where I live, it is very safe. A few blocks down is a little seedier. I love living right by the park. There are relatively few vagrants. Cons, parking is expensive here. Amenities are kind of sub par. Major pro is no driving! I fill up my car maybe once every 2 months. I don't have to take many cabs. Close to Marta if I need it.
I love the location of this community. It is directly across from the Arts Center Marta station and has several restaurants that are in walking distance. The Marta station offers a free shuttle to Atlantic Station which is a 5 minute ride to great shopping and dining.
Best location in the city....Piedmont Park, concert venues, amazing restaurants..not much else you can ask for. Safe neighborhood and very dog friendly!
Midtown is better than it used to be, but still not a paradise of safety and contentment. One of the most (if not the most) walkable areas in Atlanta, there are at least three MARTA stations (North Avenue, Midtown, and Arts Center) to get you into the area, lots of bus lines, and the Eastern Beltline dividing us from ViHi. Great restaurants, some shopping (higher rents are driving a lot of places out), beautiful Piedmont Park - all great things.

Extremely LGBTQ friendly area, especially at the corner of 10th and Piedmont. More skewed towards gay men than lesbians, though.

Crime is something of a rollercoaster - things will seem great for a while and then there'll be a few armed muggings or house robberies and everyone freaks out. Pay attention to your surroundings and don't be afraid to call the police if you feel unsafe! Basic advice for anywhere in the city, really.
Great for walking, tons of restaurants and bars, easy access to Piedmont Park
