Alta at K Station is a nice pair of apartment towers in the Fulton Market District - just a short walk to school. The units are updated, clean, and contain in-unit washer and dryer and in-unit AC. The building comes with all of the amenities one could want. The one drawback of living in this building will be the price tag on rent.

This place is admittedly quite pricey. HOWEVER, you’re 2 blocks from the pink line and 1 block from the best grocery store in the city. Train to Rush: 15-20 min. Grocery run on foot: 30 min. Apartments themselves are in great shape and the studios are 100-150 square feet bigger than anywhere else in the neighborhood.

Alta at K Station is located in the West Loop neighborhood of Chicago, minutes away from the Loop and River North. The building is walking distance to grocery stores, restaurants, nightlife, and many Chicago attractions. The building is well maintained and each unit features modern appliances, in-unit washer/dryer, dishwasher, garbage disposal, and central air. The building has a friendly 24-hr concierge , large indoor delivery lockers, and an amazing outdoor patio with a pool, hot tub, and cabanas that are open during the summer. Outdoor grills are also available year-round. The building also includes a private gym, locker rooms, a basketball court, theatre room, computers and printers, Farmer's Fridge and other vending machines, and a large study room. The building management hosts year-round tenant appreciation events and offers daily free workout classes. CTA route 192 picks up minutes away and follows an express route during rush hour traffic to and from Hyde Park.

Alta at K has been a great experience. The location is really convenient and I can easily walk to the Loop or the River Walk. The doormen and the building staff are fantastic, but the management company can be a little annoying to deal with. It's a little expensive for the square footage, but comparable to other options in the area. The pros definitely outweigh the cons - would recommend to anyone who wants to live in downtown Chicago.

This complex was a great place for young professional/working singles in the city. It is in a great location and the pool/gym area allow for peer to peer communication/meeting. The building is clean and modern and the staff are accomodating and polite.

I have been at Alta for 3.5 years and have enjoyed everyday here. The pool and 8th floor are great and the movie theater is great to have in the winter.

The repair team is very good and act fast when you need them. If you call them they will be there within 24 hours.

Great price for the location. Walking distance to good bars and restaurants, and close to various public transit options. The pool deck is by far the highlight of the building, and is a great place to hangout on weekends in the summer. Also a very pet friendly building, but dogs are only allowed on certain floors, so if you do not have a dog, you will not be bothered by any barking.

Some properties have a lot of random amenities that no one really uses, but Alta is fantastic and we use them all the time. There is a FULL SIZE basketball/volleyball court (most buildings that I have seen are very small), and the theater room is great for big games, movies with friends etc.
