Beautiful apt, expensive price
Apartment is beautiful and the location nearby everyone makes it easy. It was the right choice for the business school situation, but value isn't great. You pay a lot for amenities (gym, trash, service from staff, etc.) and those things are really lacking. Gym TVs have been broken for months, valet trash just encourages leaving trash outside for ages, and the staff is nice, but unable to solve issues.

Convenient community for Fuqua students
Berkshire Ninth provides convenient, modern apartments great for business school students. The location is very close to Duke and a convenient walk to necessities (e.g., grocery store, restaurants, bars, dry-cleaning). The apartments and amenities and up-to-date and kept in good condition, particularly the gym, which is one of the nicest I have seen at an apartment complex. The complex is good for those are married or living with significant other. Noise travels in the hallway and the floors are thin, which could make it difficult for those with children. Although the rent is on the high-end for Durham, the complex runs specials on certain apartments for Fuqua students, which makes it very affordable.

Comfortable with great location
This building is ideal for graduate students at Fuqua. Families should beware though as it can be nosy with parties (though not nearly as bad as station 9). The building is nice and and new, making it every comfortable while at school. Also, the location is perfect!
Be aware that management is always looking for new ways to fine residents (very money hungry), the rent is a premium--well above any average rent in Durham with it's only differentiating factor being that it's new and updated. Other complexes in the area are coming up and more affordable.
Also note that during the summer heavy rainfalls, millipedes get into apartments (management has no solution), and the walls are thin; I can hear my neighbors when they're talking a bit loudly.

So far so good!
Moved in about a month ago and have had a great experience thus far! Move in was great and my apartment was incredibly clean. The management staff was very prepared for my move-in appointment and had everything set-up (and I even got a nice move in gift)!

great location, poor management
Amazing location next to Harris Teeter, lots of restaurants, Duke hospital/campus. Management is very poor, they have no idea what they're doing. Looks very nice, but things tend to break often, fire alarm testing happens all the time and is extremely loud.
