Best Mac Property in the Area
Del Prado is a hidden gem in Hyde Park. It’s location in between Regents and Shoreland makes it easy to see other people, and the value is much better than those other options.

Del Prado
A great alternative for students wishing to avoid Regents yet still wanting to live within the law student community of East Hyde park. The size of the building is great--large enough to have competitive amenities, yet small enough to not feel crowded.

One of the Best Places in East Hyde Park
Del Prado is reasonably priced, in a solid location, and seems to be the best value of apartments in the area.

Del Prado
The building is great. Compared to Regents is more clean, small and well organized in general. The problem is Mac Apartments.

Del prado
Pros: 171 bus stops right in front. Quick walk to grocery stores.
Cons: No central A/C (just a window unit). Laundry machines are in the basement.
Really can't complain though if you're low maintenance.

One of the Best Places in East Hyde Park
The quality of living in Del Prado has been a pleasant surprise. The building is smaller, so there is never a wait for elevators or a feeling of crowdedness. The rooms seem recently refurbished, and the lobby is welcoming. We have enjoyed living at this property much more than our friends at nearby places such as Regents Park and Shoreland. It is also nice to be located directly on 53rd Street with easy access to restaurants and groceries.

Ok
Mac is comprised solely of misanthropic morons. They will never address any concern you have and you will hate them within 15 minutes of moving in. However, the apartment itself is great minus the fact that the elevators never work.

Very poor service
Phone calls, email requests, etc. unreturned. Some of the people who work at the front desk are so rude I dread having to interact with them.

Hyde Park Reviews
I personally loved living close to campus, for access both to Harper Center and to the broader UChicago campus. I feel much more integrated with the rest of the university as a result of proximity and availability.
In short, there's enough going on in Hyde Park not to feel isolated, but it's far enough away from the city not to feel suffocated.
