Safe, quiet, comfortable complex
The office staff was very helpful and responsive as I was relocating for school.
The unit itself was well kept and clean when I moved in, and any maintenance request I've submitted has been handled quickly. The maintenance staff is knowledgable and helpful as well. The complex grounds and buildings are well maintained.
I feel safe living alone here. The buildings all use a keypad code to get in, and then a key for your door. Packages are delivered to a secure room in the leasing office so you do not have to worry about packages sitting at your door if you aren't home.
It is a quiet area despite being near a highway with active construction at the time. I don't find that my walls are thin, I hardly hear my neighbors aside from when they come and go from their unit and even that is not super noticable.
You are close to all stores/restaurants/etc. in Greenwood and Southport, and 20-25 minutes from downtown. While the rent isn't necessarily cheap, you pay less money for larger floor plans than you can get in downtown Indianapolis so in that sense, it is a good value to me. The only downside is that all utilities (electric, water/sewer/trash, internet, etc.) are paid separately from rent.

Best place to live
Aspen Lakes is amazing, I am very satisfied with my time here and pay only $1070 for a 1 bedroom 1 bathroom with a den that functions as a second bedroom. My apartment is nearly 1200 square feet and the complex has a small gym, a pool, lots of lakes, and super responsive management. All of my maintenance requests are addressed and resolved the same day I put them in, a lot of times within a couple hours. It is also extremely safe, I feel comfortable going for runs around the entire complex at night by myself as a woman.

Great apartment with great location
Very nice apartments with lots of space around the property. Amenities include walking paths, gym, pool, car care center, resident clubhouse. Property is very spacious with lots of green and multiple small lakes on the property. Conveniently located just south of downtown with easy access to all major highways and an easy commute to campus.
