Safe and reasonable price for the space!
Safe area and close to a nice plaza. The complex is about 20 minutes from downtown so close to school and still able to get out of the chaos! Management seems nice so far.

Quiet, Suburban, Family-oriented community
The apartment is located in McCandless, a suburb just to the north of Pittsburgh (20 min drive from Duquesne University). Both McCandless and the apartment community itself are great for families (and folks who just prefer calmer, quieter surroundings and don’t mind things being more spread-out). Many other residents have school-aged children, and the apartment is in North Allegheny School District. What I like best about living here is that the apartment building is situated in a neighborhood-style community; the buildings are not on a busy road, there is abundant parking, and there has never been any excessive noise or chaos in the two years that I’ve lived here. What I like least is that living in McCandless would be quite difficult without a car. The price of rent includes unique amenities: a small fitness center, outdoor soccer area, outdoor basketball court, bicycles, an outdoor swimming pool (open during the summer), and a playground. Management is phenomenal, and when I need help from the maintenance team, they are very responsive. This is the first apartment I’ve lived in that feels like a real home, and I plan on living here long-term.

Sound apartment, 25min commute to Duquesne
The apartment is spacious, and many families and younger adults live here. It is quiet, and the neighborhood includes amenities like a playground, basketball court, tennis court, outdoor swimming pool, fitness room, and the neighborhood hosts a lot of events for residents. The community is just off of McKnight Road in the North Hills area, is located in the top-rated North Allegheny School District. This is an excellent place to live during school if you have a family and need space, but prefer a low-key environment. The drive to Duquesne is super easy, and the apartment is located near a large plaza that includes a UPS store, a cinema, several amazing restaurants, and a pet supply store. The apartment is less than a mile from UPMC Passavant, which is a hospital and has many doctor offices on the campus as well. The only reason why I did not give the apartment a 10 out of 10 is that my apartment sustained some water damage from the tenants above, and maintenance has not fixed my ceiling (it has been 4 months now). This does not really affect my use of the apartment, as the ceiling has dried, but maintenance has been quite slow in repairing the bits of ceiling that hang down. Still, my partner and I really enjoy living in this apartment, and it will likely suit our needs until I finish law school.
