Park View Review

Park View is within close proximity to downtown and campus. I walked to work during the summer, but the bus routes are near the apartment to get downtown or campus. Park View is also conveniently within walking distance from PNC Park and Acrisure Stadium if you are a sports fan! Although the apartment complex is safe, there are issues with crime on the Northside that you may not be privy to in other parts of PGH--but I have never felt unsafe.

Overall, the building is quiet and the property management has been accommodating with any issues that arose (which were minimal). Utilities are not included, so tenants are responsible for paying for water, electricity, and wifi (no gas in the apartments). Laundry is shared, and laundry facilities are located on each floor with easy operation through an app. There are also gated parking lots with fob access only where you may pay for an uncovered or covered parking spot. Additionally, there are communal spaces where you can do work for a change of scenery, as well as a small gym. Lastly, pets are allowed, but I believe you have to pay an additional fee. If you are looking for a budget-friendly space to live alone, Park View is a great spot!

Great apartments. Close to campus but not too close. Generally safe but smart to stay away from Deutschtown at night. Value of the Apartment is great!

It's a good place to live in but a bit far from the school. Public transportation is good though and very minimal walking is required. You could take the bus numbers 13, 16 to Downtown and then any of the 61s or 71s to the school. There is a Giant Eagle and a gas station 5 minutes walking from the Apartment complex and a huge market with basically everything about 10 minutes walking from the Apartment.
