You get what you pay for
I’ve lived at Aldon for about 3 years and it’s been ok. There’s a lot of turnover in the building but most people are nice and young professionals. The building was recently bought and the level of service has drastically decreased. Maintenance is slower and the management is less responsive. It’s a decent place to live, but not for the long term.

Aldon at Chevy Chase
I moved into Aldon at Chevy Chase without ever visiting the area and the apartment, but I have been very satisfied with my experience. Maintenance and management are very responsive and helpful. Although the buildings are a bit old, the apartment was updated and well maintained when I moved in. Parking and utilities are included in the rent. I am also only a couple of blocks from Bethesda Row and a ten minute walk from the metro, so the location is extremely convenient. The street is very quiet and secluded, and I have never been concerned about safety. The surrounding neighborhood is mostly families, which is a plus for me but may not be ideal for other young persons. A few complaints - the walls are extremely thin, so it is easy to hear sounds from your neighbors. Most of the residents have dogs that can be noisy, which can be a bit annoying while I work from home. Also, while parking is free, the management seems to provide more parking permits than available parking spaces, so parking is not guaranteed, especially if you are returning home late at night. Overall, I would recommend this apartment to anyone looking for a safe, quite location but near restaurants, transportation, and other amenities.

Great location worth half the rent
Hello, this review is for the Aldon at Chevy Chase. The overall experience for me is an A-. The best thing is the location, which is in central Bethesda. Minutes walking from metro station and downtown Bethesda. The condition of the building is decent. The walls are a little thin, but everything else works great. Management responds quickly to service requests. I would highly recommend.

Great Value - No Frills - Responsive Mgmt
I've lived in the The Drake Building (Aldon Management community) for approximately 5 months now. While this is an older community (in terms of building/amenities) I have been thoroughly impressed w/ mgmt responsiveness to repair requests. Great rent.
