Great building, perfect location

I’ve been living at Ore 82 for almost a year now and it’s been a great experience. The building is only 2-3 years old and I’ve had rough experiences with such new buildings before. Fortunately, Ore 82 has had very few of those kinks. The leasing office is generally pretty responsive and maintenance addresses any issues quickly and effectively. The front desk is incredibly friendly (one woman spent almost 20 minutes helping me figure out where to order food from when I mentioned I had a craving for Chinese) and is manned 24/7 which I love. The location is also excellent if you work on the Hill. And even if you don’t there’s plenty to do and see down in Navy Yard. My only complaint as of now is that the closest grocery store is Harris Teeter, which is outrageously priced. I often end up going the extra distance to shop at Safeway down in Waterfront. A Whole Foods should be opening across the street soon which will help with those last minute needs but definitely won’t be a more affordable option. Overall, I love this building.

Very happy here

Good management, clean common spaces, I am very happy here! The neighborhood is good, peaceful, quiet, and a Whole Foods is set to open across the street in a couple months. I would recommend this apartment building to any young professional. Oh, and it’s dog friendly!

Excellent services

I live in a brand new, clean and sleek apartment with many great amenities including a 24hr concierge. I feel very safe and comfortable in the building. The staff are always quick to respond and very respectful and helpful with addressing any concerns.

Good for Now

The leasing process was easy but parking has been difficult. The management office has some good people and some challenging individuals. Facilities are clean and efficient. Lots of events in the building. Front desk team is friendly and helpful. Wish there was a business center so we didn't have to ask front desk to get things off of the printer. Layout of apartment is awkward and could be more efficient.

Getting around Capitol Hill Riverfront

Capitol Hill Riverfront Reviews

We've lived in multiple buildings in this neighborhood over the past few years and we absolutely love it. The gorgeous waterfront is a few minutes from any building in the neighborhood and we are steadily getting new restaurants and finally the advent of fast-casual restaurants too. There are still areas of the neighborhood that are less safe, but my first apartment was squarely within the less-than-safe part, and there were never any incidents. There is a fair amount of construction to contend with, but it is merely indicative of how quickly this neighborhood is booming. The prices are unlikely to stay this low for long; we are already seeing a steady jump in pricing in all the surrounding buildings.
I love living in Navy Yard!! I am a ten minute walk to work and five minutes from two metro stops. There is a Harris Teeter within easy walking distance and a Whole Foods on the way. The area down on the water in Yards park is beautiful and has a great variety of restaurants, bars and necessities (gym/salon etc.) As a Nats fan, being steps from the ballpark is also a HUGE plus. The only con right now is all of the construction going on, but within the next year it will just mean more exciting things for the area so it's not all that bad.
The neighborhood is largely under construction but in ten years or so it will be awesome. In the meantime, there are a lot of great restaurants, the waterfront, and the baseball stadium.
The areas is constantly changing with new restaurants and bars. During the summer the the Yards Park is one of the most beautiful and popular parks int he city!
Looking forward to more grocery stores and shops opening, but I like the quiet of the neighborhood. Easy walk to the water and the Capitol.
I love walking around this neighborhood because it is rather quiet and residential. There are many parks nearby.
The neighborhood has been fantastic. Tons of construction of new restaurants and retail. Great to explore.
Lots of cool bars and restaurants nearby and it's always so nice in the spring and summer having the ballpark right there. Only downside is that it seems like nobody cares to pick up after their dogs - there is feces ALL OVER the sidewalks.
While the neighborhood feels safer than where I used to live in Chinatown, the Riverfront area has increasingly felt less and less safe with more crime happening in the area.
