Radford Court Review

Overall ok with room for improvement
The complex is overall a pleasant community to live in. Rent could be lower given the face that lost of us are graduate students making ends meet. I think a fair market price for something like Radford should be 1400-1700 a unit. It being pet friendly is why people seem to be willing to pay above that. For the price point above 1800 it’s worth looking in the city or closer to school for lodging.

Quiet and great value
The best thing about living here was the discounted rate for UW students and free UW internet. It made this property a really great value. Also, my roommate and I were able to secure an upgraded unit that has great new flooring and updated appliances. We only had one minor issue with a lightbulb burning out in the bathroom so far in 5 months and that was with fixed by maintenance within a day. The gym facility is small, but it is really conveninet and it's usually empty or no more than 1-2 others in there when I go in during the work day or late at night. I also really love being so close to Manguson Park. On nicer days, it's super easy for me to jog down there, bike, do whatever and really just enjoy the quiet nature of the park and it's literally just down the road from the Radford complex. I'm from a rural area and don't like the noise of the city so this is really a fantastic neighborhood.
What I don't like about living here is the commute to UW and stores. It's not awful, but it's still a good 20-30 min bus ride depending on where you're going around campus. But, for the value of the property, in a really quiet, lovely neighborhood, I'm fine to bite the bullet on transit (I don't have a car) because UW provides highly reduced rate and unlimited transit with the UPASS. Management is decently responsive. Responses can take a bit of time, sometimes up to 2 days for email, but it's not bad, just average I'd say. Overall, I think I'll be staying at Radford for a few years, at least until I'm done with my program at UW cause it really is a great value for living in Seattle.
