Good for grad students
Overall, my experience at this apartment has been mostly positive with a few downsides.
What I appreciate the most about living here is the great location. It’s close to transit, close to the hospital where I work, making commuting convenient, and the surrounding area has a nice bar and restaurant scene, which I enjoy. Additionally, the value for what you get is solid, and safety feels good, so I feel relatively comfortable living here.
However, there are a few drawbacks. The pool has not been open all year but is advertised as an amenity. The walls are thin, so noise can be an issue, especially if neighbors are loud. While the management is generally okay, it could be more responsive at times, and the amenities aren’t particularly outstanding. Socially, the atmosphere is decent, but nothing spectacular.
In conclusion, if you’re looking for a well-located apartment with good value, this place is great, though you’ll need to be okay with some noise and average amenities.

Convenient for School
The apartment is extremely small, but all I really need is a kitchen and bedroom. And I like that we live across from the school. However, maintenance is lacking, we don't have parking, and we have to share a small laundry room with the whole building.

Would highly recommend to any GW med student
Every apartment unit is very different in terms of layout, size, price, etc. so there is a lot of variability in terms of experiences. My studio apartment is very spacious, and it's really nice being a 1-minute walking distance to the med school and metro stop, which makes the rest of the city available to go to. Trader Joe's and Whole Foods are also both very close which is a huge plus.

Jefferson House Review
Great barebones apartment

Good
Because the building is run by a condominium association, any repairs beyond simple homeowner fixes will need to go through your landlord. Great location for DC but can occasionally be loud because it's next to the hospital

Jefferson House
Jefferson House is perfect for someone that wants to be close to school- It takes 90 seconds to get to campus, but foggy bottom isn't the most fun area to live. It's close enough to Dupont though which has a more fun social life. There is no in-unit washer dryer, but the laundry room works good enough. I have occasional pest problems, but nothing that would discourage me from living here in the future and management does a good job with pest control. Apartments are individually owned by separate landlords, so all apartments will be slightly different. There is a pool, but it is not super fancy.

Not too shabby
This apartment is super close to campus and is a great deal for what you're paying. The appliances are really old and the building is pretty beat down but you're getting what you pay for.
