Lillian Court Review

Great area. Smack in the middle of it all and close to Capital one offices. 15 minute walk to the metro, and near by grocery stores. There are a few fields in the area as well. I would only say that the office isn't too friendly. They seem to be very business focused and not resident focused. If you park in the wrong spot they will not leave a not to warn you, they will just have it towed.

Management Not Great

Living in Tysons is a bit of a drag on socializing with friends who choose to live in the inner city, but it's a safe area of town and at least it's VA where you're allowed to defend yourself if the situation were to arise. My building is okay but GHA management is terrible. Everything takes 2-3 weeks to fix unless you call the County on them (which only works for safety issues... it took weeks to fix a trash compactor and a call box). The parking is lousy and makes no sense how they assign spaces. Most of them sit empty because most units sit empty but they won't sell those spaces to others because they're assigned.

Getting around Tysons Corner

Tysons Corner Reviews

Pretty good neighborhood.. family-oriented but enough young people nearby to be interesting. Most of the families in the area are "young" families (new parents). Short drive from Tysons Business Park, Tysons Mall, and Mosaic District, so plenty to do nearby.
It's not the city, but it's fast becoming a metropolis, with the Metro just 10 minutes away and the popular Tysons Corner Mall in reach. Schools are good, parking is still plentiful, and our particular complex is actually, actually affordable and relatively noise-free. If you pick the right side of the Rotonda to live on, you will never hear the Metro and get ample sun.
Tysons Corner is far enough away from DC to not be in the annoying bubble of people who don't own cars. It has nice wide driveable roads and retail is in huge shopping malls like God intended.
Safe, quiet, but not much going on. Most residents are 35+ years old and there are a lot of families. It's a pretty expensive area and consists of mostly office parks. Not walkable.
Close to lots of businesses, safe area, relatively quiet, walking distance to Safeway grocery story and Starbucks. Clean area. Close to various public transportation options.
I love living in Tyson's Corner. I'm close to the mall, close to work, and only a 15 minute drive to Arlington/DC (depending on traffic, of course).
The community itself is secure and close to the metro and grocery stores. All the basics are covered, with outdoor grills and a gym/pool available. The whole community is gated, so your car is separated from traffic. Location for convenient access to work is great, but there is not much to do in terms of restaurants or nightlife in Tysons.
No complaints about the neighborhood. It's right next to a gas station and a Safeway.
