Great Super, Good Block!
Pros: Great location, close to all subways, great and helpful live-in super, quiet and clean building.
Cons: No sunlight on the ground floor, old apartments, tons of pigeons in the alleyway, no amenities for renters.
This is overall a good building and I recommend living here - especially on the upper floors.

There are 7 subway lines in or near the neighborhood, and it's only one subway stop away from Manhattan in most instances. It's not where people party on the weekends, but there are still plenty of places to eat and hang out if you're in the mood for a chill night. It's the kind of place you live if you want to go out elsewhere and come back home at the end of the night to your cute, quiet neighborhood.
The commute to Stern is about 30 minutes via subway--not bad, but if you're willing to pay more money for a smaller apartment, you probably want to look in Manhattan.
