Great Location And Views - That'S About It...
The building is located on the Hudson river with beautiful views of NYC however, there are some drawbacks. The demising walls between units are paper thin, so you can basically hear everything going on next door. Everything in the unit is electric - Heat, AC, W/D, Oven... bills are easily $100+ a month split between all roommates.
The common areas are old and outdated, but kept clean. The gym is brand new and great, but I don't get much use as it's located in another building. Also, the pool is a great feature, however it is loaded with kids and the hours don't take advantage of the summer sun (There is a pool for residents only in a separate building).
This building also offers a shuttle, however you need to be there at least 10 minutes before it leaves to get a spot- Which when you take that into account plus the travel time, it is about equivalent to walking to the PATH train. They could really use a second shuttle.
The building includes hot and cold water to every unit, which has great pressure.
If you create a new lease you will most likely get a renovated unit with new appliances and carpet, but if you join an existing one don't expect anything from this millennium in your apartment. The building maintenance is quick to respond and helpful, however they will nickel and dime you for every repair.
Overall I am pleased with the value, but there are definitely some improvements that can be made.
