Gateway on Cullen

For the location, it is a great place. It is student housing so pretty secure. Management is a little slow when it comes to work orders but that is probably the only negative. I believe every unit has a balcony and a window so there is plenty of sunlight. The apartment is down the street from UH and the apartment offers a shuttle onto campus.

Gateway on Cullen

Its a newer apartment complex so the furnishings are nice (it comes fully furnished). The maintenance is slow though, and the train is really close by so it can be quite loud. There's also a lot of undergrads living here, although its not exclusively a student apt. Would recommend because of the location but its lacking in some other areas.

Close to campus

Gateway on Cullen is good if you're looking for somewhere close to campus and looking for an already furnished student apartment. I like that there are 4 bedroom 4 bathroom options so no one has to share a bathroom. Also, it's only a 7 minute drive to campus. However, the management is slow to respond to changes and there is a lot of noises (cars, trains) so if you are a light sleeper, it may be hard to adjust at first. Also, visitor parking is very limited but resident parking is fine.

East End Reviews

I love this neighborhood. There is a lot of space and more businesses are moving in. There's also a farmer's market every Sunday.
Not a place you want to hang out in at night. Very close to a lot of stuff, but at the same time if you want anything other than some basics at kroger you’re gonna drive at least 5-10 minutes.
Pretty safe considering it is right next to UH.
It is not the safest area but the apartment is secluded from the outside area, so I feel fairly safe but I take precautions to make sure that I'm ok.
