Ok but not great
Apartment is clean, freshly painted with lots of natural light. The building and stairs are not very clean and the neighbours are loud. The location cannot be beat though. Next to the L train, walking distance to Union Square, and near the East Village for nighttime.

Gramercy Park Reviews
Safe area (next door to the Police Academy)
Pretty quiet neighborhood (3rd ave is not too noisy)
Close to actual Gramercy Park
1mi from campus
Many restaurants/bars close by, but not noisy on a Fri/Sat night
CONS
No do-it-yourself laundry nearby (wash and fold options close)
No actual access to Gramercy Park
Closest "large" grocery stores at Union Square (Trader Joes, Whole Foods)-not a problem per se, but expect them to be very crowded most of the time
