Simple and Inexpensive

This is my third year living in this residence in Hoboken. It is about 800 square feet and a perfect size for a 1 bedroom. The management company has a souper who lives a few buildings over and is very attentive. The apartment itself is old but all of the appliances are new. The rent has gone up by about 3% each year.

Quiet, Spacious, Great value but a bit of a hike

Hoboken is a great place to live. It is much more relaxed than Manhattan and the dollar goes a lot further, not only in terms of rent, but also in terms of day to day expenditures. The commute is about 30-35 minutes on the PATH train, which is like a subway, but not affiliated with the MTA. The prices are increasing in Hoboken as people catch on. My apartment is a 1 bedroom that I share with my girlfriend and we pay a fraction of my Manhattan counter parts. The apartment has an additional office that could double as a small second bedroom. The living room is small but there is a large and well stocked eat-in kitchen.
