Will keep living here if I can
Close to campus. Beautiful building. Looks the same as the photos online. The pool is not heated but it offers drop dead stunning views of downtown. Hot tub's fine. There's plenty of common space entertainment areas -- the pool is part of a broader rooftop deck with a full kitchen and hang-out space. There's also a space on the thirdish floor that has a pool table and a more speakeasy vibe. Not sure how many people hang out there. Often there's something interesting going on at the roof though. Community members are super friendly and very helpful. Love the people here. Gym's fine and has all the amenities I could want.
The reviews on Google are kind of hit or miss in terms of accuracy. Don't listen to the person who claims the building's full of drug dealers, they're hysterical about nothing. Downtown's going to be a little more sketchy than some places but I personally love the security team here. I don't need management for anything & I'm of the opinion to keep my head down low and not call attention to myself. I like my apartment and don't want to move.
Parking is separate, utilities are separate. Parking is across the street on Flower and is honestly the worst part about living here. The garage is not well run. Only one elevator works and everything smells bad. When you turn out onto Flower, you're usually making a blind right because of parked cars blocking the way. I take the bus to school -- the 66 is right across the street from the building on 8th -- and consider it a much better option than driving to campus. You could walk but I wouldn't recommend it because there's not a safe path and too much traffic to make it viable.
