Trellis House M3
My experience is good. I believe rent is pretty expensive but I really enjoy living this close especially during 3rd year. I believe M1 and M2 can live further out to save money. I have not had a car to save money and due to my apartment being so close to everything I can walk and save on parking and tickets (speeding/parking). It can be a little loud living right downtown but I usually study early in the am or later at night and it remains pretty quite. My home feels secure. They are cracking down on security and ensuring that people can not just access the elevators or common spaces. If you have any problems, you can call the front desk and they will address them quickly.

Trellis House Review
Super close to campus, restaurants, grocery stores, walking distance to essentially everything you would need including 2 metro stops

Trellis Review
It’s an okay apartment. The space is nice. They said we had walk in closets, but they are NOT walk in closets. The rooms and bathrooms are decent sizes, so that’s good. The gym is small, but nice. The study lounge is small and doesn’t have enough outlets. Parking is expensive. Internet and electric are not included in rent, you have to go through third parties for both separately. For any deliveries you have to go down to get them, they won’t be delivered to the door and they often lose or misplace packages. Management doesn’t ever respond or resolve issues. Only positive really is that it’s close to HUCM and has a pool. The terrace is cute but very small, no WiFi.

Great apartment itself but expensive and occasionally rude staff
I overall liked living at Trellis; the amenities are great (study room/productivity hub, pool, courtyard, gym, free coffee maker, club room that has a pool table, grill, private dining room that's good for events). The apartments themselves are also beautiful, especially if you get one with a balcony. They also have occasional events where they give free food (i.e. national ice cream day, cinco de mayo, etc.) My major complaints are that A) the people who run the leasing office are quite catty/rude sometimes and B) the only thing included in the rent is rent; internet, electric, and utilities are separate, and there's a mandatory $500 amenities fee (one-time/year) and $25 trash fee (monthly). Also can be noisy at times due to close proximity to Banneker.

If you can afford it
You can’t beat the location, and it’s a nice new apartment with great amenities. I don’t have any transportation expenses. If you decide to live here, try to get a 6th floor apt bc the ceilings are higher and the kitchen and washer/dryer are nicer than on the other floors.
I do get help paying rent from my parents. Otherwise it would be a bit tight/difficult for me to live comfortably. I only leased here bc of a generous “covid discount” rate, which made it $1500/mo. But I renewed and now my studio is $2100.

Review of Trellis House
Very nice apartment that is close to school. Floors and walls are thin so neighbors frequently complain off hearing “banging” which are just footsteps. Management staff has overly strict rules for amenities.
