Great place to live as a grad student

Free street parking, elevator, gym, rooftop, and affordable rent. Each unit has a balcony and washer/dryer!!! It’s also a brand new building so the interiors are modern. About a 25 minute walk to campus and a 10 min trolley ride (there is a trolley stop very close by) Cons: thin walls! You can hear your neighbors walk. Also, a lot of street noise. Management is sometimes responsive, but there is high turnover, so getting maintenance to come fix something can take a while.

Grandview West, Haverford Ave, highly suggest!

Rent per person is 937.50 a month, which is very reasonable as the building has a gym, rooftop deck, lounge and is brand new. About a 25 min walk to campus. I have my car this year and parking is SO EASY and free, unlike the rest of the city. We pay $45 each for water each month, which I’ve never heard of. Each apartment has its own washer/dryer. Overall, I’m very happy here!
