Awesome location, quiet neighborhood
I have lived at Sunrise since it opened three years ago. There are the normal problems that occur in every complex: the elevator breaks sometimes, dogs have accidents in the elevators, renovations are happening in the courtyard etc. However, the neighborhood and surrounding area is what sets this complex apart. It is within walking distance to Memorial Park, is right across the street from starbucks, black walnut cafe, kolache factory, Piada, and other food places. The neighborhood around the complex is comprised of quarter-million dollar condos and townhomes and feels very safe. River oaks is basically a stones throw away and the area between the complex and Memorial Park is full of multi-million dollar homes. People walk their dogs at all hours of the evening without incident. The apartment itself is fairly quiet, I have made it through three years of law school without once having to complain about loud neighbors.
Overall, while it is not perfect and has the downfalls of any multi-unit living establishment, its among the best I've found in the decade that I've been living in apartment complexes.
