1027 E Hyde Park Blvd

My roommates and I have been in this property for all three years of law school. We love the location, how large the apartment is, and how low our rent is considering the space we have. We thought we would move to the city for our third year, but we just couldn't let go of this apartment!

Pros:
- Individual private bathrooms in each room
- Lots of space and kitchen cabinets
- In-unit washer/dryer
- Short walk (10-15 minutes) to Target, Hyde Park Produce, and some restaurants
- About 5 minutes from the 172 bus stop
- We can see Obama's Chicago residence from our building!

Cons:
- Gas and electric are separate expenses
- Not close to most public transit into the city (6 bus and Metra line)
- Management company sometimes slow to respond to issues (they have gotten much better in the last year, though)

My roommates and I fell in love with this apartment and have lived here all 3 years of law school. The location is great - 25 minute walk to the Law School, 15 minute walk to Whole Foods, 12 minute walk to Target, and 8 minute walk to Hyde Park Produce. We're walking distance to a lot of other law school students living in the area as well. We have hardwood floors, in-unit laundry, each of us has our own bathrooms, and we have tons of space. We feel pretty safe in this area as well.

We love our apartment! The space is huge and we all have our own bathrooms. We have in-unit washer/dryer, a sun room, and lots of closet space. The location is pretty great as it's a 30 minute walk straight down to the Law School, 15 minutes from Whole Foods, and 5 minutes from Hyde Park Produce. We have one bus stop across the street and another just 2/3 blocks over. We also feel quite safe living across the street from Obama's house. The only reason I don't give it a 10 is because of a couple of maintenance issues that took a while to fix (all of which have been fixed now).
