If you value quiet...
This is not the place for you if you value silence at any time. It is so rare I come into my apartment and hear nothing. The floors are paper thin but, not only do you hear the people above you no matter what they are doing. You also hear all the entrances to the building and anyone anywhere near you and it seems there are few that are considerate of those around them. For example: I'm not sure what adult thinks it's reasonable to begin a move-in at 9:15pm and go till 11:30pm for several nights in a row; this includes moving furniture, dropping boxes and heavy items, and wearing loud boots. At one point I thought my chandelier would fall. That being said, an apartment on the top floor is the only one I would consider if this location works for you. The manager is extremely nice, maintenance can take a while, but it gets done, and the style is very cool.
