Aston Place

I have had such a great experience at Aston Place. It is a small apartment building, so it is very quiet. There is underground parking available for purchase, a business center, and a small gym. Every time I have had a maintenance request, there is someone in my place the next day fixing it. The staff is very kind and helpful. You can get free overnight parking passes for visitors during the weekends, and there is an amazing courtyard to hang out in when it is nice outside. Also, the location is perfect. You have a 2-3 minute walk to the Short North District, but you are still far enough off of High St. where you can't hear the loud noise from the bars on the weekends.
The only pitfall is you have to purchase parking, utilities/electricity, and wifi separately from rent. The rent is very decently priced, but you need to take into consideration the extra $200-$300 per month of bills. (Utility bills can get up to $380 during the winter months in a two-person unit)
But overall, this place has everything I could ask for and I plan on staying here my entire time in school!

Relatively quiet, with covered heated parking available, small gym included (treadmill, weight machine and combo weights, stepper), and still within walking distance of med campus. Clean and new (no bugs), but no trash room (have to take trash to dumpster). Water pressure in shower is weak. If you can deal with that and the price point (with additional cost for parking, pets, utilities), it's good, especially if you plan to study at home. Technically breed restrictions, but doesn't appear strictly enforced. Generally secure, but in past 3 years, has been one incidence of package theft (of packages left out, not packages in locked mail closet).

Aston place is a great apartment complex with very responsive management. It is a little bit more expensive than most other housing opportunities and the average age of the other tenants is a little bit older than recent college graduates but it has a great location (right next to the short north and about 1 mile from campus), gym, office space and free coffee. Garage parking is available.
