The Gallery Midtown Review
Decent apartments, gym isn’t much. Kitchen space is small in a one bedroom. No pet fees. Dog bag stations all over

Good location. I’ve never felt unsafe. Good size apartment. Good price. Very high electric bill though. Pool and gym included. Leasing office isn’t always great at responding. Maintenance is usually pretty quick though.

The Gallery
Pros: 10 minute walk to Cary street, 10 minute drive to school. Easy access to highway as well. Includes washer/dryer and dishwasher. Dog park on premises, pool, and small gym. Pet friendly! Cute wood floors, all white walls. Clean easy space to decorate. Meets all my needs. I have a bedroom, an office, one full bath, a kitchen, and a living room.
Cons: water pressure is pretty mediocre, but not bad. I pay 100$ per month in pet rent (I have 2 cats). Soundproofing between apartment door and hallway isn’t great. So if you plan on making noise, other tenants will likely complain.

Modern Apartment
This apartment is overall really great. Fantastic location, I can walk to Carytown, Kroger, 10 minute commute to campus, and it’s just a short Uber to bars in the Fan or breweries in Scott’s Addition. It’s extremely pet friendly, pet rent isn’t crazy expensive like some places around Richmond and it even has a small dog park! As for the apartment itself, there are hardwood floors in the living room and kitchen, carpeting in the two bedrooms (I live alone, so one of the bedrooms is actually my office) and tiling in the bathroom. Brand new appliances in the kitchen, a nice big tub in the bathroom, and great natural lighting. Lots of amenities including valet trash service, a small gym, a small pool, and a parking lot. My only complaints would be that it’s a tad small for how expensive it is, there are sometimes roaches or ants (but it’s not a huge problem! Just one on occasion, and they will come spray your apartment regularly), and I wish more utilities were included, like electricity instead of a trash service. Overall a great place to live though!
