Good Enough

Walking to school is great, everything else is good. Very few complaints, very few exceptionally good things besides location.

Poor Management

only had one repair person on staff, kept telling me that he was on vacation or that he was sick. After requesting a third-party repair company to come, they refuse to, nor would they allow me to hire one to access the roof where the air-conditioning unit was after countless hours and complaints. I finally got them to repair the unit. My apartment was anywhere from 80 to 90° during the day and 80° at night, making it nearly impossible to sleep. Management could have cared less. When the elevator, which is always broken, dropped one story and trapped us inside, the manager just shrugged her shoulders and said, “Really?” With a straight face like she did not care at all. Pretty sure the elevator has not been up to code for over a year now because they keep using their repair man to put a Band-Aid on it. Aside from that, the apartment is roomy and is a great location for the law school, but just be aware that it is likely you will be living in hell for around 5 to 6 weeks out of the year.

Loud

Great. Most convenient spot to campus. In downtown. But traffic noise exists.

Overall Recommend!

This apartment complex is a great option for those looking to stay close to the school! It’s a 5 minute walk (so you don’t have to pay for parking), has a coffee shop right below you, and always has a few law students living in the building too! Definitely a standard undergraduate-type unfurnished apartment but a little more elevated. There is plenty of storage throughout the apartment and additional mini storage units on each floor that you can rent if you need to as well! Overall, the location in relation to the school is what sold me, especially when some days it is the only time outside I get between classes and working!

Not bad

Biggest advantage is very close location to the law school. Not a fan of the relatively high rent and need to pay electricity and internet separately. But maintenance is superb. The maintenance worker gets requests done the day of and does so free of charge. Not a bad place to go if you want to rent a place.

Location, Location, Location

Perfect location for school. It doesn't have as many bells and whistles as some other complexes but has everything you would need.

Falling apart, dirty, high electric bill

Traffic noise 24/7. Loud cars, motorcycles, and we live right next to the fire department so they constantly have sirens going. We never sleep.

My electric bill is high because of poor insulation, the AC runs 24/7.

The common areas are typically covered in pet urine, poop, throw up, food, broken bottles.

Surrounded by homeless people who are sometimes dangerous or harassing.

The apartment itself is falling apart and they refuse to fix anything such as the blinds, stove, dishwasher, cabinets are falling off the wall, and the water doesn’t run.

Location

If you want to be able to walk to the law school it doesn’t get better than Parker House. Management is great, apartment is clean and spacious. Management is very responsive.

Living in downtown is fun but can be more expensive. The only option for parking is to pay for a spot in the garage that connect to the building.
