The Canyons Apartments

We've been here 3 years and have had four events of sewage backing up and flooding our apartment. Managment has only treated the symptoms and not the cause, so we will be expecting another episode soon.

Gates were not working for nearly seven months, and in that time Cars, bikes and grills were stolen. Managment's only advice was to "report it to the police".

Can't wait to get out of here.

Good apartment, paint is cheap so you cannot really clean the walls without wiping it off. Bugs come every summer, so have the apartment spray the first Thursday of every month June-August and you should be good. All new units come with washers and dryers. There have been occasional breaks of the dishwasher, sink, and ac units. They just finished upgrading some of the apartments, so there shouldn’t be any leaking/breaks like we had a couple times. All in all good apartment especially for the price

The Canyons Apartments is in a great location. It is close enough to the school (about 10-15 mins away), but not in the hustle and bustle of the city. I like that the apartment complex has direct access to the Trinity River Trail. It is also close to shopping, restaurants, and the Chisholm Trail Parkway (toll road). The apartment grounds are well-maintained, and the residents are friendly. They have lots of events and even offer free lunch and breakfast once a month for residents. I feel safe living here as well.

Extremely responsive management, who are very helpful. One employee even helped me carry a large couch up three flights of stairs when we moved in. The apartment is nice, and has been the only place that was actually cleaned and repainted upon move-in. The location is very nice if you want to live outside the city with more natural views. The apartment complex is only ~5 minutes from a Walmart and is ~10 minutes from a Target. Travel time to downtown is ~15 minutes without traffic, but will take ~30 minutes to get to the school by I-30 during 8 am traffic. The Canyons is located perfectly to use Chisholm Trail, which takes only ~10 minutes to get to the school at 8 am, if you are running late.

It's a wonderful space. Quiet neighborhood close to Walmart and WholeFoods. Management is quick and responsive and takes care of issues very fast. Space is huge! Almost 1400 sq. feet.

The apartment complex has great rental rates and tons of amenities (movie room, tennis and basketball courts, monthly free breakfast, holiday parties, etc.). It's about a 12 minute drive from campus and is close to lots of food and shopping places. It's right down the street from the Clearfork shopping area and is minutes from both major highways (20 and 30) and Chisholm Trail (tollroad). The apartments also lead to the Trinity Trails, which is a great place to walk, run, bike, etc.
