Excellent place to live!
The Berkeley is a very good place to live! It is outside of downtown, but still 10 minutes away from the law school, striking a perfect balance between quietness (it has a peaceful, park-like feel) and closeness to the action. Management is very good, and I have never seen a pest animal on the premises. Work orders get done promptly.

Overall good experience
So far I’ve only been living at the Berkeley for 3 months, but I’ve enjoyed how safe I feel here (with the well-lit hallways) and how quiet it’s been. The walls seem super thick, I only hear dog barks through the hallways when everyone is getting home, and the price is fairly the same as all the other apartments close to campus (plus it comes with a washer and dryer). I’ve enjoyed living here so much that I’ll probably live here for another year at least.

Good price, centrally located
New management struggled at first but they hired more maintenance people, more front desk people, and they are doing a good job overall

Happy with the Berkeley
It has been pleasant to be here. Maintenance gets to work orders quickly for the most part, and I have not had any major issues. The apts are safe and quiet, pools are great and gyms have all basic equipment.

The Berkeley
The Berkeley was taken over by new management a few months ago. I have not had any issues so far. The maintenance is prompt and I have not had any billing issues. I am anticipating rent to raise significantly when I renew, because the new management company is focusing on renovations. If you value amenities, the pool and gym have been closed for months with no explanation. This hasn't bothered me. My neighbors are nice and mostly quiet. The walls are a bit thin so I can hear my neighbor playing music, but it is not very intrusive. There is a mix of professionals and families in the complex. I think there are TCU undergrads as well, but I have not experienced any intrusive partying or similar behavior. There is a dog park if you own a dog. My commute is easy and the location is close to several restaurants. It's also walking distance to the trinity trails and a few parks, which is a big draw for me. I have already renewed my lease once and plan to stay here all 3 years of law school if fiscally possible.

Good for people on a tight budget looking for a nice place
The Berkeley is a good place to live with roommates. It is only 10-15 minutes from A&M Law School and located in a neighborhood area that is nice for runs. The management is not the best, so I recommend talking with them in person or over the phone if you need anything to actually get done. Despite all this, the price is really good for someone on a tight budget and there are two decent gyms on the premises and the pools are very nice.

A pretty nice place to live
The initial signing process was a little bumpy, but since I've moved in they have been great! They are super helpful and ensure that I know what's going on around the property, they reply to maintenance requests quickly, and the pools and other amenities are well kept.

It’s ok
I have a pitbull and I could rent here because the apartment complex doesn’t have breed restrictions in its pet policy
