Overall rating 6.0/10, based on 1 renter review Write a review
Affordable*, fairly spacious, family-friendly, but...
This is a fairly spacious unit for an affordable* price. In our 2-bedroom, we each have a large walk in closet. There are 2 spacious bathrooms as well. I like my neighbors and my management is very responsive.
The main issues that have added up to be annoyances:
1) the blinds from the window fall off very easily
2) there are no ceiling lights, other than in the living room, kitchen, and bathroom, so you need several tall floor lamps!
3) there are bugs EVERYWHERE. They must get in through the cracks... not sure how but I find a new species of insect every day.
4) There is no A/C in the bedroom, only the living room. Fortunately the living room A/C works very well-it blasts the cold. But the bedrooms get warm really quickly. There is no central air which was a problem when I wanted to sleep in the summer, but it has proven to be a good thing in light of COVID).

Rent:
For the price of $1,995, this is a great 2 bed-2 bath unit, especially because it is located right next to Disneyland. But, I wrote "affordable*" with an asterisk because it is not really $1,995; when we inquired and applied for the unit, we were told they were giving it to us at a discount if we secured by a certain date. Once we got our lease to sign, however, the rent was actual much higher, and the $1,995 would only be honored if we paid our rent on time.
I've heard that this is a tactic apartments use so just be aware...
Utilities:
Rent does not include utilities - they set up gas, water(, and trash), and they add that to our bill on top of rent. Then tenants also have to set up wifi and electricity.
Washer/Dryer:
The unit does not include a washer/dryer. There are shared laundry room spaces, but that can be a huge hassle especially when you want to wash late at night or you don't have any other clothes but you somehow find some in order for you to actually go to the laundry room. Luckily, my unit is right next to the laundry room, so it's not very far but still a hassle nevertheless. Other apartments have spaces in each unit that will allow you to hook up a washer/dryer in your unit, but my unit does not have one. On the plus side, they take card, instead of quarters, for your laundry...
Parking:
Each unit is designated and reserved 1 covered parking spot, even if there are two tenants in a two bedroom. For an additional fee, you can get a permit to park in an uncovered, unreserved spot. Parking becomes a hassle especially because we share a street with another apartment, so it's best to purchase the extra parking spot.
Gym/Pool:
The gym is very small. I have never used it. And it is only open during the day for free. Otherwise there is a small $25 monthly fee for you to use it outside office hours. I've never used or sat by the pool. It's not a luxury pool, but families like it. It's spacious and clean.
Trash/Recycling:
There is no recycling - but this is a city of Anaheim issue, not an apartment issue. Trash only. There are large bins near ever unit block.
Sunlight:
My unit has a patio with a wall for privacy, but that blocks my living room window so sunlight is an issue for people like me who like natural sunlight during the day. There is bright sunlight in each bedroom because the windows are exposed.
