Great for anyone!
This is probably the best place for the most bang for your buck as an ND student, IF you have a car to get to class. If you're mobile, space, luxury, and noise wise, it's perfect. You also have access to the rooftop, gym, complimentary season pass tickets to the Cubs games if you're into that, indoor lounge, and events that happen all year.
Staff is phenomenal! Neighbors are friendly, but everyone pretty much keeps to themselves. The price point given is for a corner unit facing the intersection of Western and Lafayette (the best view in my opinion and one of the only units with two living room windows for a very sunlit room!)
Maintenance is quick and efficient! Secure in my opinion however you will hear the occasional noise from people in the area. There were some random gunshots last year, but that was the only "negative" experience I had.
Love this place and I'm convince there is nowhere better to live than here in SB for the price point of Overlook or Foundry. If you like privacy, luxury (well SB version of luxury at least, maybe modern is a better word), cleanliness, amenities, and you are MOBILE (can't stress that enough. DO NOT live here if you are a student with no car), then this place is for you.
Can get to campus in 7-9 minutes. It's almost never 10 minutes, seriously.
Also, garage parking is covered outdoor and it is $75 a month. Utilities for a one bedroom, one bath person who never leaves the lights, air, or heat on, is on average $100 a month. This includes water, electricity, and gas. Internet was at&t and was $45 a month for the first yer, $65 for the 2nd year (I know right, *eye roll emoji*).
Hope that helps!
Also, I may have seen 3 bugs in 1.5 years being here, however I am on the third floor.
