fine for school
I didn't want to live in a giant complex primarily because I have three animals (and I'd have to either lie about them or pay a ton of extra money in pet fees).
Pros:
I can walk or bike to school, or take a $5 Lyft
I have natural light from windows facing all directions
I have awesome neighbors (not students, which is kind of nice)
Best price I found for at least 900sqf with no carpet
Cons:
No amenities like pool, gym, etc
Neighborhood is lame- nearest ANYTHING is a mile away. Super residential with no bars, restaurants, coffee shops, groceries, corner stores.
No insulation- it gets cold quickly, I can smell when my neighbor smokes on her porch, and occasionally I can tell when my other neighbor is watching The Office.
