Great Location, Decent Building

For the price, the location is amazing and the building is pretty good. Management is responsive to concerns.

Great location, subpar building

Right in the heart of wicker park for a reasonable price (especially if you will be sharing with roommates). 1 block to Blue Line, short walk to grocery store, shops, restaurants, bars, cafes. There is also a large rooftop with a spectacular skyline view. The units themselves are quite nice, with updated kitchens and decent light. However, the building leaves a lot to be desired. No amenities whatsoever, and some semi-dangerous/gross conditions. Examples: terrible elevator with long expired safety certificate, but stairs are also dangerous and blatant code violations. Dingy carpet, old and peeling paint. Also the building caters to undergrads and recent grads, so there is a bit of a dorm vibe, and they leave their party detritus everywhere. Management is fine, but definitely not interested in spending money to truly fix issues. These tradeoffs might be worth it to younger students, or those seeking more affordable north side options.
