PLEASE READ BEFORE YOU SIGN A LEASE AT REVEILLE RANCH!!!
Cautionary Experience with Reveille Apartments:
I wish to share my experience with Reveille Apartments to help prospective tenants make informed decisions. It is crucial to understand that Reveille management appears dismissive of tenant health, well-being, and valid grievances. Instead, rely on third-party collectors to enforce unjust claims based on the terms and conditions included in the lease agreements, which are typically signed without proper diligence. Many tenants assume these contracts are standard and fair, overlooking potential issues related to basic rights and ethical considerations.
Personal Experience and Key Observations
I relocated to Reveille in 2023, primarily due to budget constraints. One of the most concerning practices among many apartment complexes, including Reveille, is the failure to show units prior to signing the lease. This means that potential tenants are often unaware of the apartment's actual condition until they are already committed.
Upon moving into a second-floor unit, my friend and I were greeted with a disheartening reality: severe cockroach infestations. Despite our requests for another unit, management's response was unhelpful. They assured us that pest control measures would be implemented, but these proved largely ineffective, as the infestation persisted. We felt trapped and pressured, facing threats of penalties for seeking alternative housing options based on the ongoing lease agreement, which exploits students already experiencing financial strain.
We attempted to adapt to our grim living conditions, employing various methods to keep pests at bay. However, this situation was untenable, and it was evident that the unit was uninhabitable. Despite providing evidence of the infestation, management repeatedly insisted we endure the situation until the lease was up.
We probably spent more money staying away during pest control added with the stress and risk of being in and out.
Upon our departure time, we made every effort to return the apartment in a clean state, comparable to the condition in which we received it. Regrettably, we were billed exorbitant cleaning fees long after we moved out, a troubling consequence following a year of dealing with unacceptable living conditions.
Additionally, potential tenants should be aware that Reveille imposes additional monthly utility charges that can significantly increase total living expenses. These 6 to 7 line items in their utility charges e.g., electricity, insurance, admin fee, utility fee, trash, water, and sewer, commission etc. and though some of these are common with all other apartments, they often escalate as the leasing period progresses.
Recommendations Based on My Experience
1. Think twice on Reveille Apartments unless that’s the only option: If you are not willing to tolerate pest issues, seek other options.
2. Document the Apartment Condition: Take comprehensive photos and videos upon moving in and send them to management for your records.
3. Maintain Email Correspondence: Always document communication via email, even if there is no acknowledgment from management. This is crucial for maintaining a record.
4. Request a Pre-Move-In Inspection: Try to see your apartment before finalizing the move; however, be prepared for possible denial.
5. Advocate for Regulatory Changes: It's imperative to request that Texas state authorities investigate these leasing practices, thereby mandating a lease cancellation policy for genuine concerns—including apartment-created nuisances—without penalties or excessive charges.
My experience is only for others to learn from and make an educated decision. Awareness and diligence are essential when navigating the rental landscape, particularly in institutions that may not prioritize tenant welfare.

Reveille Ranch
Not a bad property, good management and facilities. There is a roach problem, but you get stuck with one of those units if you are unlucky. Go for upper floors to avoid the roach problem. Even if you do, talk to management and they will get pest control to come over.

Decent housing at affordable rate
It's a peaceful community with all basic amenities. AggieSpirit stop for Bus No.15 is at the entrance of apartments. During the regular semester it takes approximately 20-25 min to reach Wehner.
The only concern is roaches in the Kitchen. You have to make sure everything is clean all the time to avoid them.

Reveille Ranch apartment feedback
I live in a 2B2B with my MBA batchmate. The apartment feels homely as compared to the London Apartment, where I lived for initial 1.5 months. There are amenities such as Gym, pool, meeting room, computer lab access, printer, billiards, TT, etc. These facilities are included in the rent. North gate is very near to RR, which makes it even more happening. Shops such as Indian mart, Kwik, Farm patch are also located nearby. You can either walk to these stores or can take Bus no.15.
Buses run in every 10 minutes on weekdays and in 1 hour interval on weekends.

Revielle Ranch
The rates at this apartment are cheap. Not the most glamorous though. You get what you pay for.

Maintenance
The apartment is good but the property manager needs to work on the cleanliness of the corridor of buildings. Normal maintenance service is slow.

Not a bad place to stay while in school
I chose Reveille Ranch as it was one of the least expensive options. I paired with a roommate from my same class and we each pay just under $500 per month. It's not the most luxury place to stay, but for the price it's tough to beat.
