Sonoma Apartment Homes

I'm originally from this area and decided on Sonoma after several years abroad. I also have some historical knowledge of other B/CS complexes going back to the early 90s. Choosing a place like this helps you to avoid some of the pitfalls associated with student-marketed housing. Granted, the place is older and the finished aren't "high-end" but everything works, my utility bill is reasonable and it's safe and quiet. I feel comfortable in my apartment as a single woman and you'd have to drag me out by my hair in order to get me into one of the noisy places by the train tracks or into one of the dumps they rent to unsuspecting out-of-towners. For my own peace of mind, it was completely worth not going for the cheapest possible option because I know things will be taken care of and I don't have to put up with messy nonsense. The unit *does* have upstairs carpeting which I don't particularly care for but my cats enjoy it.

Sonoma Apartment Homes offers great, renovated spaces for an excellent price. There's a pool and free (as much as you need) parking. The service is excellent--maintenance comes quickly and management replies quickly as well. It's quiet, can't hear neighbors, and there's plenty of light. Patio and balcony included. Kinda old an a little creaky but they did a great job renovating. Our rent includes having a washer/dryer in our apartment and our cat rent. The Wolf Pen Creek park is close, as is HEB and an A&M bus stop. We have had a couple cockroaches, but one was after we moved in (open door as we moved things in and out) and one was right after the temperature dropped. They send pest control within 48 hours of a pest report, and we never see anymore after that.

The management is fantastic! They are genuine and take care of the units, even though they are older buildings.
