Everything You Need on a Budget
I had a rough time with Hampton Hall at first. The contractors they'd hired to rehab the apartment over the summer did a terrible job, with doors painted shut, cabinets not closing, paint cracking, etc. Additionally, management didn't have my key ready when I arrived at an agreed-upon time, which is tough when you're traveling from out-of-state like I was. However, management and maintenance were responsive (with some prodding) to the issues, and everything was working in about a week. Once I'd settled in, there were no issues. The floorplans are pretty spacious, the Emory shuttle is right out front, and the neighborhood is clean and endearing. You are close to really any grocery store or amenity you need - all for a pretty reasonable rent rate. I would recommend Hampton to any new Emory law student; just don't expect shiny or high-end, expect a solid apartment with some issues you'll have to call maintenance for occasionally. You get what you pay for; here it's pretty good value.

Highly recommend to a student with a budget and wants to live alone
I lived at Hampton Hall Apartments during my entire MBA experience and it has been awesome! Highly recommend! The apartments are very old and definitely not as modern or up-to-date as many others in the area. But at the same time, it is among the cheapest you will find in the area. There is an Emory shuttle right outside the property, it is a block away from Post Briarcliff where a lot of your classmates you live, and has a Starbucks around the corner. I never felt unsafe at Hampton Hall and, honestly, it has been great for the price that I am paying. Also, the staff is very responsive to any issues. I do not regret my decision to live here one bit. Perfect for a student on a budget and wants to live alone.

Hampton Hall
The price is good. One of the cheapest in the region. The only downside is that the unit does not have a washer and a dryer. They are shared and require a $2.50 payment for each usage.
